Our collection showcase the craftmanship of local Karigars who use age old designing techniques passed down through generations. From each Saree is a labor of love, embodying the passion and dedication of the Karigars behind it. we believe in empowering these skilled craftsman by providing them a platform to showcase their art to the world.

Our Story

Kaarigari grew from my long-standing love for fabrics, prints & design and my childhood dream.

Growing up around my family’s textile-designing business, I became curious about the colours, patterns and creative processes that bring fabric to life. I went on to study fashion design in 2005, and although my journey took different turns, my interest in fashion never left me.

Creating Kaarigari gave me the opportunity to return to that passion and build something of my own—a saree brand inspired by the heritage I admire and shaped by my understanding of design.

For me, creating a beautiful piece begins long before the finished piece comes together. It is about understanding the fabric, imagining the right colours, exploring prints and design techniques, and seeing how all these elements can work together to create something distinctive.

Through Kaarigari, I want to bring this understanding to sarees that celebrate traditional influences while feeling relevant to the modern Indian woman.

For me, a saree can hold a memory, mark a milestone or simply make an ordinary day feel special. I hope the sarees we bring to you do more than complement an occasion—they help you feel confident, express your personal style and choose something you truly value.
